FOTOHOF>CALLING is a biennial format that offers artists a platform to present their work in a professional context. As an association founded by artists and photographers, FOTOHOF aims to initiate a dialogue about contemporary artistic photography and promote exchange between artists. Eligible for submission is a photographic project that is no more than three years old and has not yet been shown in an institutional exhibition.The project may still be in development or already fully realized. Artists who live, work, or reside in Europe are eligible to participate.

From the submissions, the FOTOHOF team will select approximately 25 artists who will be published online at calling.fotohof.at uand in the FOTOHOF>CALLING magazine. A shortlist of ten artists will be invited to Salzburg for a project presentation and networking event. As part of FOTOHOF>EDITION, the magazine will be distributed at our festival and trade fair appearances. In addition to FOTOHOF>CALLING in Salzburg, further magazine presentations are planned as part of our publishing work in Austria and abroad.

FOTOHOF>CALLING will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Salzburg. Ten artists are invited to present their submitted projects on site and discuss them with participants, selected guests, and the FOTOHOF team.
